How many treatments are required?
It’s recommended to have between 4-6 Emtone treatments over a span of 2 weeks for optimal results. During your consultation Dr. Hsieh will make an individualized recommendation for you based on your own unique anatomy and aesthetic goals! Each Emtone treatment session will last about 20 minutes.
What does an Emtone treatment feel like?
Most patients report that the treatment feels like a hot stone massage, which is quite comfortable and even relaxing to some patients. Our team will apply a conductive moisturizing lotion prior to beginning the treatment and your skin may feel warm during portions of the treatment session, but the continuous movement of the Emtone handpiece and the automatic shut-off feature of the device (based on target skin temperature) ensure that this is a tolerable treatment. You may also experience some intense mechanical vibrations as the acoustic wave portion of the treatment begins.
Is there any downtime after an Emtone treatment?
No! You can immediately resume daily activity after your treatment. Most patients report that their treated area remained flushed (red) for an hour or so after their treatment, and that is a good sign because it means that the skin has reached its therapeutic temperature goal! The treated area may also be sensitive to the touch for the first few days following your treatment.
When will I see results?
Like other radiofrequency technologies such as truSculpt ID, most patients report seeing improvement after just one treatment, with results that build over time. Peak results are seen three months out!
Will I need any “touch-up” treatments?
Follow-up sessions following your initial Emtone treatment package are recommended, and this will be discussed in your initial consultation based on your unique anatomy.
