ThermiVA – Radiofrequency Vaginal Rejuvenation

Being a Board-Certified OB/GYN for over 20 years has given our Medical Director, Dr. Helen Hsieh, a unique insight into the changes that occur over time to a woman’s intimate anatomy. Whether it was leaking urine while exercising, vaginal dryness due to menopause (and a lack of estrogen), a feeling of vaginal looseness during intercourse due to childbirth, or the consistent inability to reach orgasm, Dr. Hsieh has treated her patients for an array of intimate wellness issues over the years. In response to these issues, Dr. Hsieh became one of the first board-certified OB/GYN’s in New York City to incorporate ThermiVa – radiofrequency treatment for vaginal rejuvenation into her array of intimate wellness treatments. You might hear Dr. Hsieh refer to ThermiVA as her favorite treatment(!) and that’s because it has had such a profound impact on her patients' lives!

WHY THERMIVA FOR VAGINAL REJUVENATION?

● ThermiVA is non-invasive, non-surgical, and has no downtime post-treatment, meaning you can resume intimacy the same night!● ThermiVA uses temperature-controlled radiofrequency that gently heats the patient’s vaginal anatomy via a small probe. This heat produces new collagen and elastin in the vagina internally and externally, leading to an improved aesthetic appearance externally, and an improved feeling of vaginal tightness for a patient and her husband during intercourse!● Collagen production in the vagina (particularly beneath the bladder) also leads to a decrease in urinary leakage during exercise or while sneezing, commonly referred to as stress urinary incontinence!● Women who experience urge incontinence, or a sudden almost uncontrollable urge to urinate, also experience an improvement with their symptoms after being treated with ThermiVA meaning you can potentially not have as many bathroom breaks on a road trip and get up less to urinate during the middle of the night!● ThermiVA can also be a non-surgical method to treat mild cases of pelvic organ prolapse through increasing collagen production.● Lastly, ThermiVa can be used as a non-surgical substitute for a labiaplasty in a patient with mild to moderate skin sagging externally.
